DESIGN FEATURES:
Hopper
Ø Sound proofed hopper, double wall construction, with 1-1/2" thick sound deadening material between the walls.
Ø 1/2" dia. polyurethane cord, mounted on hopper's frame will assure complete sealing between hopper and cutting chamber.
Ø Hydraulic assisted hopper is mounted on single point pivots to allow easy access to cutting chamber.
Ø Three heavy-duty curtains located in hopper throat will provide minimum fly back.
Rotor
Ø Heavy-duty rotor is constructed from C-1045 steel, with 8" dia. shaft 6" at bearings and 2" thick "fins".
Ø Double scissor cutting action on rotor and bed blades assures positive cutting with minimum fines, and less torque requirements.
Ø All rotor and bed blades are totally hardened, and precision ground D2 toolsteel.
Ø Micro adjustable bed blades are easily accessible from the front of the granulator.
Ø Open rotor design allows more airflow threw cutting chamber for cooler operation and increased throughput.
Ø Oversized double row spherical bearings can easily absorb all granulating shock.
Cutting Chamber
Ø Heavy duty cutting chamber is one piece weldment constructed from 2" thick, A36 carbon steel plate
Ø Tangential feed design assures positive feeding of the material.

Drive & Base
Ø Solid steel double flywheel minimizes motor and rotor abuse, reduces horsepower requirements after the initial startup,

Cutting Chamber - Heavy duty one-piece weldment, fabricated from A-36 ground steel plate. It is rigid, smooth and easy to clean.
Tangential feed design assures positive feeding of the material and maximizes throughput and helps prevent jamming.
Cutting chamber is solidly welded on frame
Swing-down heavy duty removable screen cradle.
Rotor - Heavy-duty, SAE-1045 steel.

Electrical - Across the line motor starter
Strategically located electromechanical safety devices will automatically shut off power if an attempt is made to gain access to the cutting chamber or screen.
Also included with this unit is a ROTOGRAN manufactured blower/cyclone systems, designed for continuous and efficient evacuation of granules from the granulator bin.
The blower impeller is mounted directly on the motor shaft, eliminating the need for drive belts. All impellers are precision-machined and dynamically balanced.
Stainless steel and abrasion resistant impeller and housing also available. Motor is electrically interconnected to the starters.
Also included with this unit is a ROTOGRAN custom manufactured belt conveyor. The conveyor is solidly constructed from heavy-gauge steel, and come complete with
ROTOGRAN's TRU-GUIDE belt tracking system, thus, elimination belt wandering, and costly maintenance.
